Forensic Interview Rooms (AGO) and Child Advocacy Centres (ÇİM)
Forensic Interview Rooms (AGO) are special settings where victims are heard with an expert present, away from the pressure of the courtroom. The interview is conducted under the judge’s direction and recorded; the victim is never in the same room as the defendant.
Child Advocacy Centres (ÇİM) are designed for child victims. The aim is for the child’s statement to be taken once, by an expert interviewer, in a child-friendly environment — preventing the harm caused by repeated testimony.
Using these facilities in your case usually requires a request. Your counsel can ask for statements to be taken via AGO or ÇİM, ensuring the process moves forward in the way least damaging to you or your child.
